In Mount&Blade, you are given the opportunity to create for yourself a history, a past that occurred before your player starts adventuring in Calradia. Your character is a foreigner to Calradia, though this background has little influence on gameplay, mainly only affecting how certain lords regard you in the early game.

These factors, like the reason for adventuring, affect your starting skills and attributes, as well as equipment and renown value. These values, however, won't make anything impossible, so their impact to later adventuring is significantly diminished. The only choices with any noticeable impact on your chances of success are gender and nobility, both of which relate to how willingly nobles accept your presence in the game. Gender can affect how much renown you need for fiefs and kingdoms, whereas nobility only affects their early opinion of you. A male commoner, for example, may find some lords accusing him of being 'another vulture, come to grow fat off of the land,' or claiming that they have no time for common soldiers of fortune. Even these opinions have little effect in the long run; it should be noted, however, that lords expressing these opinions will have a negative relationship with you right from the start.

Once you have chosen your background and proficiency, you will see the character creation screen. First you have to decide whether you want to be allowed to quit without saving. Enabling this will allow you to quit and reload your game to undo a disastrous battle or otherwise experiment with things. You can distribute skills and attributes, as well as weapon proficiencies. You can customize your character more when you gain more skill points during gameplay. You will always gain an additional attribute point when you level up and some books will add permanent skill or attribute points to the player character.

After choosing your history, you will then progress to a screen to create your character's face. Along with age and facial hair, there are advanced options for minute facial features like eye depth and face width. These options have sliders bars, allowing you to adjust the characters face to great detail. Age can make one's hair nearly white and adds wrinkles. There is a randomize button as well in case one cannot decide what aesthetics they want for their adventurer. Features can be changed at anytime during game by clicking on your avatar on the Character Screen.

Hello everyone! With the release of the new version, I've introduced a lot of new features. Siege with gates is one of them. But it seems that for some players that feature can be glitched. The thing is, I've been playing this mod (yes I like playing my own mod :D ) for a long time, even before the official release of it. And I've tested the features over and over again without encountering the bug that some players encounter. My companions dont switch with my char, and all the sieges work as intented. Then I realised that WSE might be the reason. See I'm using WSE every time I play Warband, simply because It enables the good old feature called 'unlimited bodies on the battlefield'. I like seeing all the fallen men on the field. And WSE also supports Warband engine to prevent random crashes. Fixes hardcoded bugs, Frees up ram as you play through.

So I advised people to use WSE 3.2.0 or Warband Tamer, but now I want people to use it to avoid problems in my mod. That siege bug bothers me a lot simply because It is taken from Marty's code from Gekokujo 3.1Beta, I didnt alter anything related to that script and it works for me bug free. Gekokujo 3.1 Beta doesnt need WSE, I know. So why I want you to use it? Because I've introduced so many features like executing the lords, wound system, taunts etc one of them might need WSE in order to work without any bugs. So please consider using it for a more enjoyable Gekokujo experience. However that doesnt mean I wont try to find the exact cause of the gate bug or companion bug. Wish I could experience it myself so I could examine the situation and the OPCodes. Because the said OPCode '1779' might be related to WSE. So I advise, really, I ADVISE you to use WSE. :) :)

Nope not for me it installed correctly I moved Floris_Evolved in the modules folder I even open file location on the shortcut and it took me to the module in my Warband directory.
It is located in

I still get error could not find mb_warband.exe or mb_warbanddedicated.exe.
It looks like a WSE error when loading. Maybe if I remove all the WSE content and drop it in the Warband directory it will work. But I already have the latest WSE. Or maybe if I move the Floris_Evolved.exe in the warband directory it will work.

5. Diplomacy

Single player Mount and Blade: Warband is much like the original Mount and Blade. Well if so, you will probably love Mount and Blade: Warband Blood and Steel. Blood and Steel says it perfectly, it is a 'very hardcore tactical combat simulation with a lot of 'what-if' scenarios in it- for example, we get to find out what it might have been like if the Roman Empire had continued to exist, and continued to use heavy infantry tactics versus medieval shock-cavalry forces'. Emphasis on the hardcore.

Blood and Steel improves Mount and Blade:Warband combat to make hitting someone actually mean something other than '22 damage!'. Instead of normal sieges of 200-400 smelly Nords, think more like a calm hurricane of 1500+ vikings all aiming to pull an arm or leg off of your body. However, the best improvement in Blood and Steel is the completely satisfying enemy AI, gone are the days of horses getting stuck on rocks. Also appreciated is the focus on reworked equipment; an arrow actually kills people now. The fun in Blood and Steel is mainly in the challenge, and the satisfaction in simply surviving the most intense battles in Mount and Blade ever. 3. Prophecy of Pendor

One of the most popular Mount and Blade mods, Prophecy of Pendor has now been ported over to Mount and Blade: Warband! While this alone would have been enough to vault Pendor into the top 5 best Mount and Blade Warband mods list, there have also been some improvements to the base Pendor mod.

First off, many textures have been reworked to fit into Warband's graphical changes, meaning that Pendor is even more beautiful and varied than before. Second, the enemy AI has been revamped completely, gone are the days of peasants charging headlong into 100 strong filthy Nord armies, now enemies can run away from battle. Also, there are new formations, such as wedge and column that help you annihilate annoying enemies such as dirty Nordic warlords. Lastly, the randomly spawning named enemies have gotten a tweak that makes them spawn at rates a little less absurd, making the single player campaign for Mount and Blade: Warband much more enjoyable.

2. Battle Sizer Mod

Ah, the old standby best Mount and Blade mod; Battle Sizer Mod. Thankfully, this mod still works with Mount and Blade: Warband, although with the new graphical changes it can be slightly unstable if driven to extreme levels, such as 400+ unit battles. It also takes a little bit of technical know-how, or following directions to the T, as you do have to change the config.txt file in order to use the mod.

Still, Battle Sizer Mod is one of those once in a lifetime epiphanies, like trying a slice of real New York pizza for the first time. Once you see an epic battle of 200 vs. 200 you will never want to play Mount and Blade Warband the same again. Jungle scout web app free.
